Multiple layers of enamel paint, oil paint and metallics on a wood structure with an iron oxide coating. Various “weathering” techniques, such as a rust ‘activator’, an oil-based paint wash and dry-brush, are applied to certain areas. Additional components may be constructed of cast resin and machined metal parts. The final piece is sealed with a lacquer coating.
