Esperanza Alzona
$700.00

Dimensions: 12.5 x 10.75 x 1.5
Media: cast aluminum sculpture, wooden frame
Artist Statement : Head in hands, a depiction of the emotional state of worry. My work in sculpture focuses on representations of concepts and qualities of humanness—the characterization of various universal emotions, sensations, thought processes, the embodiment of self-identity and spirituality. Working primarily in metal renders weight and material presence to this human emotion.

$1,650.00

Dimensions: 4.25 x 5.25
Media: bronze sculpture
Artist Statement : A depiction of the self-deconstruction of identity. A person’s face is their major identifying aspect. Here it is literally being torn apart from the inside and only the lower half remains in hand. My work in sculpture focuses on representations of concepts and qualities of humanness. Working primarily in metal renders weight and material presence that I find particularly engaging. Seeing my works, I wish viewers to find resonance and relevance of “being human” as I express in physical form facets, abstractions and iterations centering around the mind- body connection and human experience.

$600.00

Dimensions: 22 x 15
Media: Mixed Media Botanical Contact Print with Roses and Graphite on Fabriano paper.
Artist Statement : My current work centers on the concept of the divine feminine and the embodiment of light and spirit. I explore form, and the energy that defines it, using floral elements and organic materials that represent our connection to the earth and to the feminine spirit that exists in all living things. I believe this connects us to each other and to the Universe. I typically start by rendering a form in graphite, then carefully select botanicals that will further express the form in the truest, most powerful way. While transferring the floral dyes to paper, I always honor the chemistry of my dye pot as it is often guiding the work beyond my intention. I am endlessly inspired by the irregularities and unexpected marks the dyes make with the application of heat and organic compounds. Pure magic.

William Barnardo
$1,650.00

Dimensions: 18 x 24 x 1
Media: Oil on canvas
Artist Statement : This portrait is part of a new set of paintings I am working on that explore post humanism in portraits: how can can a subject be depicted indirectly, integrated into the paintings form, or diffused throughout the painting. With this painting I wanted to explore several different ideas. Displacing the subject to the left corner and then having the object of her gaze in the top right corner pulls one's eyes across the painting. Between the subject and the photographed landscape there is a blackboard of drawings, as if her stream of conciseness is appearing. I wanted these obviously flat drawings to have more depth than the painting subject and the wall which only have two rather flat planes. This painting consists of multiple images, and depicts a woman looking at images, it is completed by the viewer, who in turn observes this image.

$1,600.00

Dimensions: 15 x 15 x 2
Media: Mosaic
Artist Statement : My current mosaic work is rooted in the Gibson Girl archetype - a century-old symbol of idealized womanhood preserved in the American psyche and reproduced on the china plates I break and reassemble. I choose the materials and imagery of domestic life as a way of looking at forces affecting the life choices women make. My interests stem from growing up during the emergence of the women’s liberation movement in the 60s and 70s, when the clash of ideas about a woman’s place in the world were contradictory, confusing and for me, foundational. As women move beyond childbearing years, many sense themselves disappearing – their physical presence becoming as invisible as their labor. “Wallflower” looks at the aging woman in a culture that stubbornly links female power with fertility, youth and beauty.

$1,200.00

Dimensions: 12 x 12 x 1
Media: Mosaic
Artist Statement : When a dinner plate featuring a Charles Dana Gibson illustration from his collection “A Widow and Her Friends” found its way to a thrift store, it became the inspiration for my current series of mosaics. For me, the questions Gibson asked more than a century ago are no less relevant today. What are the social constraints and instinctive desires that inform the choices women make? Or, more simply put: who is doing the dishes?

Jennifer Boldt
$600.00

Dimensions: 16 x 10 x 2
Media: Cotton canvas,wool, and silk.
Artist Statement : Jennifer seeks to explore the fundamental parts that make us human through memory and comfort. She finds these through swimming. Swimming, a comfort disguised as exercise brings back memories of childhood; happiness and days where stress wasn’t a word in her vocabulary. Most of Jennifer’s ‘swimmers’ are alone on the shore or partially submerged in water. She is reminded of the comfort of being caressed and enveloped by water through stitching it. Her women are illustrated in greyscale, emphasizing they could be any woman. Jennifer’s practice is interdisciplinary, and she finds herself continually returning to stitching, weaving, and painting. She learned to embroider as a child and finds it has become a multi-sensory experience through touch, as well as, sensing the passage of time with completed stitches.

Dimensions: 14 x 14 x 2
Media: Fiber, beads, paper, thread on upcycled tablecloth mounted to cradled wood board
Artist Statement : This piece uses a vintage photo as a reference, and incorporated imagery about science and the natural world into the collage. It tells a story of women in generations past who broke out of the traditional expectations of women (motherhood, wifehood, household management) and chose a different path with intention.

Dimensions: 8 x 12
Media: Multi-medium
Artist Statement : I have long been interested in shamanic rituals and the masks associated with them. The mask and the rituals allowed me to show sides of myself that I normally don't share, which evolved into my art. It is hard to show all sides of me, and the Figuratively Speaking series affords me that opportunity.

Trans-Venus (diptych), Transhuman Series #9
Sergio Cesario
$3,400.00

Dimensions: 24 x 24 x 1.5
Media: Photography, digital painting, printed on metallic paper and mounted under acrylic
Artist Statement : "Trans-Venus" is the nineth character of the “Transhuman Series.” The portrait challenges traditional beauty standards and embraces a gender-free aesthetic. Through vibrant rainbow colors and a voluminous wig, it symbolizes transformation and immortality. Metaphorically exploring transgender identity and non-binary concepts, the artwork prompts us to question boundaries and embrace self-expression. It portrays a duality showcasing the positive aspects of understanding and harmony while the negative cautions against discrimination and toxic cultural patterns that hinder progress and evolution. As part of the Transhuman Series, it celebrates the interdependence of opposites, inviting viewers to reevaluate perceptions and appreciate the transformative power of the human experience. DIPTYCH - size and price reflect each individual art piece.

Sergio Cesario
$3,400.00

Dimensions: 24 x 24 x 1.5
Media: Photography, digital painting, printed on metallic paper and mounted under acrylic
Artist Statement : “The Remnant” is the eighth portrait of the "Transhuman Series" and recalls the situation and destiny of past human lives. An allusion to the consequences suffered by damage caused by conscious and merely human actions, such as environmental destruction, water and air pollution and violent encounters with intruders and all kinds. The portrait is a tribute to all “survivors.” Following the concept of positive and negative in photography, each side of the diptych presents a contrasting perspective, portraying the consequences of past human actions and the resilience of survivors. - DIPTYCH - size and price reflect each individual art piece.
