Artist Statement
"the Shape of the Soul" is a self portrait based on the ideology that we spend too much time crafting a physical body that will deteriorate over time, yet constantly forget to exercise the soul itself; the most important aspect of human nature. We forge through the ages being shaped by ancestry, lineage, or our surroundings and allow those pre-determined forces to define who we are as humans without recognition. What if we removed the physical and looked deeper within to witness the Shape of the Soul. What do we as individuals represent spiritually or emotionally?
