My paintings often involve the mundane and daily surroundings of my life. Figurative, landscape or still life paintings include moments of quiet or environments imbued with indirect tension. Marks are applied with knife, brush and often times, scraping to reveal the process. I paint from direct observation, sketches, imagination or any image that would support the work.
