My current work centers on the concept of the divine feminine and the embodiment of light and spirit. I explore form, and the energy that defines it, using floral elements and organic materials that represent our connection to the earth and to the feminine spirit that exists in all living things. I believe this connects us to each other and to the Universe.

I typically start by rendering a form in graphite, then carefully select botanicals that will further express the form in the truest, most powerful way. While transferring the floral dyes to paper, I always honor the chemistry of my dye pot as it is often guiding the work beyond my intention. I am endlessly inspired by the irregularities and unexpected marks the dyes make with the application of heat and organic compounds. Pure magic.
