$600.00

Dimensions: 18 x 10
Media: watercolor on cold pressed Illustration board
Artist Statement : "the Shape of the Soul" is a self portrait based on the ideology that we spend too much time crafting a physical body that will deteriorate over time, yet constantly forget to exercise the soul itself; the most important aspect of human nature. We forge through the ages being shaped by ancestry, lineage, or our surroundings and allow those pre-determined forces to define who we are as humans without recognition. What if we removed the physical and looked deeper within to witness the Shape of the Soul. What do we as individuals represent spiritually or emotionally?

Zeinat Gelli
$1,386.00

Dimensions: 28 x 22 x 1.5
Media: Oil on Canvas
Artist Statement : My work centers around figurative and still life paintings that explore themes of cultural heritage and the human spirit. Taking inspiration from African artists such as Chief Nike Davies-Okundaye and Seydo Keïta, I frequently weave in wax print textiles such as ankara and àdìrẹ into imagery, not only to represent the vibrancy of African culture but also to reclaim their role in storytelling and in connecting people with African history. This particular painting is centered around 'Lila', representing her as a black crown crane, the national bird of Nigeria, which is also considered to be a symbol/ messenger of peace.

Human Expressions: Layers of Life
Human Expressions: Layers of Life
Ben

Dimensions: 11 x 17 x 4
Media: Collage
Artist Statement : Space is the realm where my worldly views, shaped by various experiences, define my reality. In my art, I aim to capture this dichotomy. By balancing mixed media, I discover my unique style. I combine sketched objects, magazine clippings, watercolors, and acrylic paints to create depth through layers. My creative process does not follow a specific theme or order; my artwork absorbs the world around me. This innovative window offers a glimpse into how I envision life and the universe. At times, my collage work focuses on a central theme, enveloped in several layers of paper. My creations often straddle the line between collage and mixed media. Each item and layer is carefully considered. I pay close attention to contrasting colors, whether they are from paper or paint, and I am meticulous about each layered object's form, flow, and function. I continuously strive to push my creative boundaries, aiming to impact, evoke, question, and inspire those who view my work.

Dimensions: 24 x 24 x 1.5
Media: Digital print on canvas
Artist Statement : What do we reveal when we ponder and reflect our thoughts and feelings? When I create a portrait I always consider and express elements within the composition. The elements tell the story - do we see joy, sadness? How can I create meaning that resonate with viewers? I try to capture these effects and incorporate them in my art.

Dimensions: 36 x 24 x 1
Media: copper engraving, oil ink print on paper via hand-rolled etching press 1/1, cotton thread, hand embroidery, acrylics, canvas wrapped around wood frame - Sale Price is POR (form won't allow it) -
Artist Statement : My body of work questions the role of the digital world in our lives as we become tied to the web. I explore the tech and electronic world, systems, structures and elements that have created a new global landscape, a paradigm for personal, social, and political ever evolving world. Analogies and mutual relations between the nervous system and computer systems can often be found in my pieces. WAIL relates to the idea of data transference, time, impermanence and transformation. The materials are meant to create a sensory experience with structures and different techniques as AI becomes more human-like and integrated into our daily life.
Red Cloud

Holly Layman
$18,500.00

Dimensions: 79 x 29 x 25
Media: Recycled cardboard both monochromatic traditional brown cardboard and colored cardboard. It is not painted.
Artist Statement : Red Cloud not only inspired me in his actions during his life, but I found him striking and wanted to recreate him and honor him by bringing attention to his plight that continues into today's generation. Working in monochromatic cardboard I built a pedestal that is packed with symbolism and reference to the Ogala Lakota tribe. I worked with various museums and private collectors to gain access to textiles and other artifacts that were from the time period that Red Cloud lived. The actual bust of red cloud is done with the embellishment of colored cardboard. The only item on the entire sculpture that is painted are the ping pong ball eyes. I always use one non cardboard item hidden within my pieces. I also worked with museums while researching the headdress and the clothing to be as accurate as possible. My hope is that someday Red Clouds vision for his people can be realized and we can all understand the term Mitakuye Oyasin. (We are all connected)

William Masters
$1,000.00

Dimensions: 14 x 17 x 0.25
Media: Blue and Red Ink on Paper
Artist Statement : This portrait employs novel compositional techniques to more honestly and intensely depict the stresses of modern life - specifically, the overwhelming and alienating effects of today's culture of endless striving and careerism. The woman does not pose for her portrait - she is too busy. Her surroundings have fallen into disarray. The mass of objects that separate her from us seem like a mote made to protect her concentration. We are spectators, nothing more than distractions to prevent. Unlike in traditional portraiture, our subject has burrowed herself into a corner and out of the light - our only means of accessing and understanding her is through the very barrier she put up to keep us away. The open chair in the upper right, from which a soft light shines, offers some hope that there is still a place for us in her world and that all of us, no matter how far removed, can still be reached.

$1,200.00

Dimensions: 15 x 9 x 5.5
Media: sculpture wall art
Artist Statement : Through the centuries artists have been the conscience of their generation. It is the artist who records the beauty in or the disillusionments of their society. Societal issues become the artists’ way to ask “why” and they bare their thoughts through their art for others to contemplate. "Enough" is my deep felt experience and disillusionment in our world and the fear for a tranquil future for our children and grandchildren.

$100.00

Dimensions: 16 x 20 x 1.5
Media: print of digital work
Artist Statement : Bones are mysterious and alluring. They are evidence that even the most time lost species existed. When faced with the looming reality of extinction all I can do about it is paint or write. Even more so when faced with the end to our home’s ecosystems. We do not care for the creatures that lie in the same biomes as us. We choose to believe we are separate from nature despite our relation to every living thing on this earth. Meanwhile I contort my mind and body to fit in a society that causes slow destruction. Pouring over a tablet, I become ever more hunched until I evolve back into a shrimp. I’m an artist to likes to connect humans and animals in art. My main goal is to make you feel for them as I do.
